Prayer Paintings
These prayer paintings were a series of commissions based on prayer requests sent on behalf of friends and loved ones in February 2021. Each included a note from the friend who requested the painting, and this from me:
"My name is Katie Watford and I’m an artist, but that’s enough about me. What I want you to know is that you have incredible friends — ones who cover you in prayer and love during difficult times. It’s on their behalf I send you this painting, brushed out on canvas with your specific prayer need in my heart and hand.
My hope is that it serves as a signpost of God’s love and work in this season for years to come. This is one in a series of 28 Prayer Paintings, so know that in some small, sacred way, it connects you to others also in need of both solace and strength. Praying blessings over you today,
